The procedure in which deposits of fat are removed by means of a suction pump to recontour the body. Liposuction sculpts the body but it is not a weight-loss method. It removes excess fat deposited in specific areas such as hips, buttocks, abdomen, thighs, knees. It also helps to remove excess fat from the back, upper arms, chin and neck. During one procedure it is safe to remove up to 3000ml of fat. It is a sufficient amount to correct a relatively slight deformation of the body; other areas can be corrected in a second procedure to be performed after several months.
