Breast Reduction.
It consists in removing a part of the mamma together with the skin and subcutaneous tissue to get an impression of smaller, lighter and shapely breasts proportional to the whole body. Also, the size of the areola surrounding the nipple is reduced. The incision is usually made around the nipple and further in a shape of an anchor in a vertical line extending downwards from the nipple area and in the breast crease. The nipple is moved to its new position; sutures close the incisions to give the breast a new contour.
Time of the procedure: 3 hours.
The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia.
After the procedure, the patient stays at the clinic for 1-3 nights, and then 9-14 days in the apartment.
